Hotep Family,

Imhotep Institute Charter High School will have a virtual day of learning on Thursday, February 29, 2024 to celebrate the life of our beloved ancestor Baba Joe Foster. Imhotep will host the repass following the memorial service.

My hope is that Imhotep Charter will be well represented to acknowledge the life and legacy of Baba Joe Foster. He served Imhotep for over two decades as a math teacher, principal, mentor and advocate after his retirement. His humility sometimes masked his accomplishments, but it is fair to say that he was one of the pillars of African Centered education in the city of Philadelphia. He left a lasting imprint on all of our ASA schools. We are forever grateful for his service and blessed to have had him in our lives. What an honorable ancestor whose life serves as a model for our youth. Asante Sana!
